Spongies Cafe

A family-run Hong Kong–style bakery on Baxter Street in Chinatown, NYC — baking fresh sponge cakes daily since 2020, with lines out the door and press to match. What it didn't have was a website. We built one, by hand.

// the client

A beloved bakery with no home online.

Spongies Cafe is the kind of place food media finds on its own — reviewed by The Infatuation, holding a 4.8★ Google rating, open daily 6am–7pm. But customers searching for the menu, the hours, or the address had nothing official to land on. A business this good deserved a site that works as hard as the bakery does.
